Discover the Benefits of Placenta Encapsulation

Did you know that the placenta functions as your baby’s kidneys, lungs, source of hormones, and a constant source of nutrition?

Did you know the placenta is considered powerful and sacred in some cultures and that today’s placenta encapsulation process is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine?

Did you know documentation of dried placenta being prescribed as a remedy in Europe dates back to the 1700’s?

Placenta remedies are an important part of birthing history. However, I fully acknowledge this is a widely misunderstood process and considered by many to be strange. The truth is many individuals report experiencing benefits, and there are no known harmful side effects when the placenta is prepared properly.

My goal is to provide you with a better understanding of the process of placenta encapsulation, which is why I invite you to attend my next event, Placenta Curious, on Thursday, May 16th at 5:00 pm EDT at .

During this experience, you will gain a new appreciation for the placenta, as well as insight into the many self-reported benefits of postpartum placenta consumption!

An Ancient Option for Postpartum Health

The placenta is a vital life-giving force during pregnancy and offers a host of benefits postpartum. Yet there are a number of myths surrounding placenta encapsulation that dissuades people from giving it a chance.

Some common myths include:

Myth #1- You are a cannibal if you eat your placenta. If you look up the term cannibalism, consuming the placenta simply doesn’t apply.

Myth #2- Only hippies eat their placentas. Not only is this false, during Placenta Curious I will discuss many celebrities who have utilized placenta encapsulation and are enthusiastic about the process.

Myth #3- I can safely encapsulate my own placenta. As a Postpartum Placenta Specialist, I have completed an extensive and rigorous certification process to ensure safety and minimize risks of serious complications. A professional is required for this process.

Myth #4- You won’t have Postpartum Depression. Unfortunately, placenta encapsulation isn’t a cure all. While many report experiencing benefits, everyone is different and can experience different benefits.

Understanding the myths surrounding placenta encapsulation is important. During my event we will discuss what research is available to help clear up any misconceptions.

Is Placenta Encapsulation Right for You?

During this experience, all you need is an open mind. For many, swallowing a capsule without giving much thought as to what’s inside is normal.

While placenta encapsulation can offer different benefits for each individual, there is no known risk to ingesting placenta when prepared properly, so you have nothing to lose by trying it.

What we do know is pregnancy and childbirth often results in loss of energy, reduced hormones, nutritional deficiencies, and iron depletion. Placenta encapsulation, however, has been highly rated by users to replenish the post-pregnancy body and reduce many of common postpartum complaints.
